About the Course
Welcome to the MolyFit course Introduction to Exercise for Parkinson’s.
This course is aimed at health and fitness professionals who may have a client with Parkinson’s and would like a little base knowledge on exercises that can help them. It will enable you to offer guidance using gym equipment and tips to help with activities of daily living. It will show you and them, how to look at their bodies and notice deficits and changes that can affect movement and activity.
It will demonstrate the power exercise has in reducing the symptoms of Parkinson’s and how exercise is the magic pill for people with Parkinson’s. An Introduction to Exercise for Parkinson’s will not allow you to be fully able to prescribe exercise to an individual living with Parkinson’s, but this course will start you off and enable you to offer advice, and hopefully be a springboard to expanding your knowledge on Parkinson’s.
There are five modules for you to complete, with a quiz at the end of each module to test your learning. The pass requirement for the quizzes is 80% and you can have as many attempts as needed before you progress to the next module.
The course will take around two hours to complete and is worth two CPD points.
