Parkinson's assessment and sports massage appointments
MolyFit@ Maverick Gym is based in a fantastic strength community in Welwyn Garden City where I spend my evenings supporting powerlifters and strongman athletes.
Maverick gives me the space to offer affordable sports therapy massage that keeps lifters moving well while helping to fund the free support I provide to the Parkinson’s community across Hertfordshire, including allowing me to run free exercise assessments for people living with Parkinson’s.
Whether you are a member or not you are always welcome at Maverick. You can use the button below to view availability and book.
Living with Advanced Parkinson’s
Each person with Parkinson’s presents with their own symptoms, and the progression of those symptoms will be at a rate unique to you. This can change day to day.
The advanced stage of Parkinson’s is when your symptoms start to have a greater effect on your day-to-day life and activities of daily living (ADLs). This can make life more challenging and you may need assistance. I have been working with a dear friend of mine who is now in this situation.
Each day seems to bring a new and different set of challenges, so it is not easy to remember which techniques we use for specific problems.
I thought a brief self-help guide would be useful for him and I hope it will help others too so we created one. In this booklet you will find some useful tips to help you with the ADLs that you may be struggling with. Download the booklet below for free.
