Hertfordshire Health Walks have now released the new May – August 2024 Timetables. This link will take you to ALL our walks across Hertfordshire.
Walking is the simplest way to look and feel good. Meet new people whilst getting fitter. Use a Health Walk to explore your neighbourhood. Boost your mood by getting outside in the company of others.
There are more than 100 opportunities listed, including 20 walks for people who are unaccustomed to being active or who are returning to exercise after illness or injury. And, for those working or just busy in the weekdays, we have several summer evening walks and a wonderful Sunday programme in Dacorum. As some information may have changed (i.e. starting points, day, time or grade etc), please be sure to check the timetable for any minor changes.
All the walks are FREE and are graded between 20 to 30 minutes (First Steps) and up to 90 minutes (Grade 4) unless otherwise stated, whilst Grade 4+ progression walks can however last up to 2 hours.
You can register online. Or, if you prefer, you can turn up 15 mins before your first walk to complete a New Walker Form.
Hertfordshire health walks are also always looking for more volunteers to join their wonderful volunteer teams across all of the walks. So if this is something you are interested in, please do let them know. The more volunteers they have, the more different graded walks we can bring in to suit a range of abilities. Their next training is on the 10th June in Hemel Hempstead.
If you would like any more information about the walks or volunteering, please call them on 01992 555888, Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 14:00, or email healthwalks.cms@hertfordshire.gov.uk
